Do I have to be a parent of Miami-Dade County Public Schools’ student?
No, however, parents and family members of current and former students, or children under school-age have a priority. Additional guardians and surrogate parents are welcome, along with school volunteers.
How do I register? Through The Parent Academy or the place where I saw the ad?
All registration is through The Parent Academy. Contact the office or complete the registration form under Registration and fax to the contact information.
Am I limited to how many classes I can take?
No, in fact, you have the opportunity earn “Frequent Parent Points” which will enable you to receive special gifts and even scholarships for your child!
Are classes offered in multiple languages?
Yes, Spanish and Creole are available. They are noted by each class.
Is there a minimum age for attendance?
Not necessarily, however, most classes are geared for adult learning. There are joint classes for parents with their children.
Is there transportation?
There is the availability of bus passes or Metro Rail passes. Contact The Parent Academy.
Is there child care available?
